KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — University of Iowa senior diver Veronica Rydze placed 36th in the 3-meter springboard preliminaries at the USA Diving Winter National Championships and World Cup Trials. The competition is being held at the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Rydze finished 36th in the event with 213 points, finishing better than 38 competitors.
Rydze will return to action Friday in the 1-meter preliminaries before competing in the 1-meter semifinals on Saturday due to her pre-qualifying status. She will also dive in the women’s 3-meter sychro with former UI diver Deidre Freeman.
