SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Iowa Track and Field Team sent three athletes to the Alex Wilson Invitational Saturday. Juniors Nick Holmes and Jeff Thode, and freshman Kevin Lewis competed for the Hawkeyes.
Thode ran to a fifth place finish in the 3,000 meters. The junior crossed the line in 8:06.03.
Holmes and Lewis each competed in the mile. Holmes finished 19th with a personal best time of 4:07.77, while Lewis crossed the line in 4:12.53 to finish 28th.
The NCAA Championships will be held on March 9-10 in Boise, Idaho.
