IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa spirit squad will hold the its annual Cheerleading/Dance Team Championships – Fall Spirit Spectacular on Saturday, Oct. 6, inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
School and all-star cheerleading teams, dance teams and mascots from around the Midwest are invited to participate in this competition. The format will have all cheerleaders perform on a matted surface and dance teams perform later in the day on the basketball court.
The competition is a great experience for all teams, of all experience levels. Participating teams will receive trophies and a grand champion will be announced in both the cheer and dance divisions.
