Ferentz Live Tuesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa —University of Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz will talk about this week’s season opener in Chicago against a talented Northern Illinois team Tuesday as the march toward the start of the 2012 college football season continues for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The visit with local, regional and national media assembled in the Player’s Auditorium in the Hayden Fry Football Complex begins at 12:30 p.m. (CT) and will be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web of the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes meet the Huskies for the second time in the Windy City’s Soldier Field, Iowa won, 16-3, in the 2007 season opener and holds a 7-0 lead in the series. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. (CT). The game will be televised live by ESPNU.

The contest is the first of five games in the month of September for the Hawkeyes. The other four will be played in Kinnick Stadium, including next Saturday’s Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game with Iowa State.
