IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa senior Garret Dunn and junior Michael Swank are ranked 55th in the International Tennis Association preseason doubles rankings. The ITA released the rankings Sept. 7.
Dunn, a senior from Tempe, Ariz. and Swank, a junior from Lawrence, Kan. played No. 1 doubles for the Hawkeyes last year and had wins over several nationally-ranked teams. Dunn and Swank both went 7-13 respectively in doubles play, pairing up together in every doubles match.
“We’re very proud of Garret and Michael,” said head coach Steve Houghton, “They really meshed well as a team last year and the sky’s the limit this year.”
The Hawkeyes open their fall season Sept. 21 at both the Purdue Invitational and Drake Invitational.
