IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa women’s soccer team earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2011-12 academic year, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Announced.
Iowa posted a team grade point average of at least 3.0 to earn the academic accolade. The Hawkeyes also had a successful season on the pitch, posting the second most wins in a season in program history. Iowa finished with a 12-6-3 record and advanced to the Big Ten Tournament for the seventh time in program history.
