IOWA CITY, Iowa — Amanda Kowalski, Angel Metcalf, Lexi Mura and Kyra Trowbridge have signed national letters of intent to join the University of Iowa women’s gymnastics program, head coach Larissa Libby announced on Thursday. Trowbridge will begin competing for the GymHawks in 2013, and Kowalski, Metcalf and Mura will join the program next fall.

“This class will make a huge difference to where we are, depth-wise,” said Libby. “All the athletes complement one another, and there is nothing they want more than to make a difference for Iowa gymnastics. You have to take kids that bleed Black and Gold, and that’s what this class does.”
