IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet the media at 11:30 a.m. (CT) Friday to talk about the Hawkeyes’ upcoming intrastate rivalry game against Drake on Sunday, Dec. 16.
The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Drake (3-5 overall) is coached by three-time Hawkeye captain Jennie (Lillis) Baranczyk, who played for Bluder from 2000-04. This will be the 45th meeting in the series with Drake holding a 24-20 edge; Iowa (7-3) has won 10 in a row. Tip-off Sunday is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. from the Knapp Center.
