Hawkeye Summer Camps

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Registration is now open for the University of Iowa women’s soccer team’s annual summer camps; the Elite Skills Camp and the Hawkeye Summer Camps. Each camp will be directed by Iowa head coach Ron Rainey, Iowa’s assistant coaches and players, and additional collegiate coaches, and will be held at some of the finest soccer facilities in the country.

2013 Elite Skills Camp (July 14-17)

Girls ages 10-18 and boys ages 10-14 with aspirations of playing soccer collegiately are invited to attend Iowa’s annual Elite Skills Camp, which targets advanced players capable of handling a challenging and complex curriculum.

The three-day camp begins July 14th and will be held at the Iowa Soccer Complex and Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center. Fees are $500 for residents and $370 for commuters. Team fees are $470 for residents and $370.00 for commuters.

Campers will go through a similar experience to what Iowa’s current student-athletes go through, as the camp will challenge each player through match play coupled with tactical training sessions. Sessions incorporate technical, functional, physical and psychological training. Due to the curriculum and scope of this camp, players are encouraged to apply early because enrollment is limited.

2013 Hawkeye Summer Camps (June 3-7; July 22-26)

Iowa will host its annual four-day summer camps at the Iowa Soccer Complex with Sessions I and II lasting from June 3-7 and Sessions III and IV from July 22-26. Girls and boys ages 5-18 are welcome to attend the camp. Rees are $160 for Sessions I or III, and $230 for Sessions II and IV. Campers can also receive a $10 discount by one of three ways; applying before May 1st, registering two or more siblings from the same family or seven or more campers from the same team.

The camp includes technical development stations, team and tactical training and match-related activities. With quality instructions and a high level of competition, campers will develop their skill, understanding of soccer and love of the game. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt and camp soccer ball.
