IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s basketball signee Ally Disterhoft was recently named Miss Iowa Basketball by the Iowa Newspaper Association and the Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year.
Disterhoft averaged 26.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.2 assists per game as a senior. She led Iowa City West High School to a state tournament appearance this season after helping her team claim a state title last year.
Disterhoft is an ESPN HoopGurlz Top 100 recruit and has earned numerous first team all-state honors in her high school career. She holds multiple West High school records and is also a standout track and field athlete.
Disterhoft also excels in the classroom. She holds a 4.0 grade-point average and has already been awarded direct admission into the Tippie College of Business for academic achievement.
