IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa sophomore Lauren English has been named Big Ten Golfer of the Week for her efforts in the Challenge at Onion Creek. The announcement was made Wednesday by the conference office.
Lauren English fired a 54-hole score of 216 (+6) at the Challenge at Onion Creek, a career low. English also finished tied for 8th, the fourth time this season English has placed inside the top-10. English shot an impressive 43 holes at or below par over the course of the tournament.
The Bloomington, Ill. native has played in every tournament so far this season for the Hawkeyes and holds the second lowest stroke average on the team with a 75.88.
English and the Hawkeyes continue their spring season on April 20 in Columbus, Ohio as they compete in the Lady Buckeye Spring Invite.
