UI Announces Group Ticket Options for 2013 Football Season

June 7, 2013

IOWA CITY, IOWA – – The University of Iowa Athletics Department announced Friday its plan for group ticket sales to home games of the 2013 UI football team.

Option No. 1: Group tickets only
Fans interested in purchasing game tickets only should contact Eric Heinkel, director of group sales, at 319-384-4299. Group rates apply against orders as few as 20 tickets including discount priced game tickets for boys and girls high school age and younger.

Option No. 2: Group tickets and game-day hospitality inside Hawkeye Village
Fans interested in a turn-key game-day solution that includes a pre-game meal and a choice of beverage, musical entertainment, and an appearance by Herky and the Iowa cheerleaders in addition to game tickets, should contact Bravo Sports Marketing, the UI Athletics Department’s game-day hospitality area known as Hawkeye Village, at 319-626-8286. Fans interested in this option can also review their options and place their order online by clicking HERE.

As noted earlier this week, the UI Athletics Ticket Office will start selling single-game tickets to the general public on Friday, July 12. That sale will begin after season ticket customers, who are also members of the National I-Club, have had an opportunity to make single-game ticket purchases based on the following schedule:

  • Monday, July 8 – Kinnick Society and Champion Club members (limit 8 tickets per game)
  • Tuesday, July 9 – Golden Hawk members (limit 6 tickets)
  • Wednesday, July 10 – All other donor levels (limit 4 tickets)
  • Thursday, July 11 – Season tickets who are not members of the National I-Club (limit 4 tickets for NIU, Missouri State, and Western Michigan; limit 2 for Big Ten games)
  • Friday, July 12- General Public (Limit 4 tickets for Northern Illinois, Missouri State, and Western Michigan; limit 2 tickets for Big Ten opponents)

Single-game tickets will be priced as follows: $70 each for Wisconsin and Michigan games; $65 each for Northern Illinois, Michigan State, and Northwestern; $60 for Western Michigan; and $55 for Missouri State. Discount-priced youth tickets, for boys and girls high school-aged and younger, will be available for the Northern Illinois, Missouri State, and Western Michigan games at a cost of $25 each.

Tickets may be purchased online HERE or by phone at 1-800-IA-HAWKS. The UI Athletics Ticket Office, located in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online sales will begin for Kinnick Society and Champion Club members at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 8.

“Right now we’re currently determining what we’ll need to hold for use by the visiting teams. Depending on those numbers, we may be able to accommodate some additional season ticket requests on a one-year basis. And, as always, what is available on a single-game basis will largely be determined by how many single-game tickets our visiting teams think they need to meet the demand of their fans and special events like Homecoming and Parents Weekend on our campus,” said Pam Finke, the UI’s director of ticket operations.

Iowa opens the season Saturday, Aug. 31, hosting Northern Illinois. Additional home games include Missouri State (Sept. 7), Western Michigan (Sept. 21), Michigan State (Oct. 5), Northwestern (Oct. 26), Wisconsin (Nov. 2) and Michigan (Nov. 23).
