IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa football team will stage its annual “Kids at Kinnick” day Saturday, Aug. 17. Gates to Kinnick Stadium will open at 4 p.m. with the team’s practice scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
As in the past, student-athletes will sign autographs in front of the west and south stands, following the team’s approximate two-hour practice. Fans will have access to only the south and west grandstands during the practice session.
The UI Athletics Ticket Office will begin selling single-game tickets for Iowa’s seven home games to the general public Friday, July 12. There is a limit of four tickets per order for Iowa’s three non-conference home games and a limit of two tickets per order for the four Big Ten Conference games in Kinnick Stadium.
Single-game tickets are priced as follows: $70 each for Wisconsin and Michigan games; $65 each for Northern Illinois, Michigan State, and Northwestern; $60 for Western Michigan; and $55 for Missouri State. Discount-priced youth tickets, for boys and girls high school-aged and younger, are available for the Northern Illinois, Missouri State, and Western Michigan games at a cost of $25 each.
Tickets may be purchased online at hawkeyesports.com or by phone at 1-800 IA-HAWKS. The UI Athletics Ticket Office, located in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Iowa opens its 2013 season Saturday, Aug. 31st, hosting Northern Illinois (2:30 p.m., BTN). Additional home games include Missouri State (Sept. 7), Western Michigan (Sept. 21), Michigan State (Oct. 5, Homecoming), Northwestern (Oct. 26), Wisconsin (Nov. 2) and Michigan (Nov. 23).
