IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Daily Iowan, the campus newspaper at the University of Iowa, followed the Iowa spirit squad leading up to the Sept. 21 Hawkeye football game against Western Michigan.
From practice the day before to warm-ups, the DI followed the team through what it takes to get ready for and participate in a football game day. Included are behind the scenes interviews with a spirit squad teams captains, giving insight to the team and pulling together for a game.

The Iowa spirit squads will be back in action in Iowa City at the Homecoming game Oct. 5 vs. Michigan State, as well as numerous events throughout Homecoming Week.
