IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa spirit squads will host its eighth-annual kids clinic and halftime performance on Jan. 24-25, 2014.
The halftime performance will take place during the women’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 25. The clinic will be held on Jan. 24 in the UI Field House. The clinic is open for kids in first-eighth grade.
“This event is a hit with the kids, they love coming out on the floor inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena and performing.” said spirit coordinator Gregg Niemiec. “It is a fun night, and the participants do a great job on the floor and in the stands cheering on the women’s basketball team.”
The kids clinic fee includes, the clinic, a ticket to the game, a t-shirt and the opportunity to perform at halftime. Parents can purchase group rate tickets for family and friends to come watch as well.
The clinic is limited to the first 200 participants, so register today. Registrations are due by Jan. 8, 2014.

The Iowa spirit squads will be cheering on the Hawkeyes at upcoming home men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling competitions. The squad will also travel to the Outback Bowl to support the UI football team.
