IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team will make two appearances on the Big Ten Network during the 2014 season, the network has announced. The two appearances equal the most of any of the seven league teams.
The Hawkeyes will make their season debut on BTN when they host Minnesota and Nebraska at noon (CT) on Feb. 15. The event will be held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Big Ten Championships, slated for March 28-29 in Lincoln, Neb., can also be seen live on the network.
Iowa completed its most successful season in nearly a decade under third-year head coach JD Reive in 2013. The Hawkeyes finished fifth nationally, marking the program’s best finish since 2000, and finished with three All-America honors, the most since 2005.
The Hawkeyes open their 2014 season on January 18 at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago. Competition is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. (CT).
