Single Game Ticket Sales Begin Monday

IOWA CITY, IOWA — The University of Iowa Athletics Department announced Wednesday its plans for single game ticket sales to the seven home games of the nationally ranked 2014 Iowa football team.

The UI Athletics Ticket Office will start selling single game tickets to the general public on Friday, July 11. That sale will begin after members of the National I-Club and current year season ticket holders have had an opportunity to make single game ticket purchases based on the following schedule:

  • Monday, July 7 – Kinnick Gold and Kinnick Society members
  • Tuesday, July 8 – Champion and Golden Hawk members
  • Wednesday, July 9 – All other donor levels
  • Thursday, July 10 – 2014 season ticket holders who are not members of the National I-Club
  • Friday, July 11 – General public

One of the many benefits of being a season ticket holder is the opportunity to purchase single game tickets at a discounted price prior the sale of single game tickets to the general public. Fans of the Hawkeyes are reminded that the UI Athletics Ticket Office is currently accepting orders for 2014 Iowa football season tickets from the general public, UI faculty and staff, and current UI students.

Members of the general public and UI faculty and staff can purchase their season tickets online by clicking HERE.

Current UI students can purchase their season ticket online by clicking HERE. UI students are reminded that they have until Aug. 1 to place their season ticket order. Orders for a 2014 UI student season ticket received after this date may not be filled.

Fans of the Hawkeyes are also reminded that the UI Athletics Ticket Office is currently accepting orders for three-game ticket packages. To learn more about that option or to make your purchase online, click HERE.

Single game tickets for purchase by the general public will be priced as follows:

  • $55 for Iowa’s game against Ball State, which is the game the UI will celebrate the first 125 completed seasons of Iowa football and the 75th anniversary of the legendary “Ironmen.” A $25 youth ticket for use by boys and girls high school-aged and younger is available for this game.
  • $60 for the Hawkeyes’ 2014 season opener against Northern Iowa. A $25 youth ticket for use by boys and girls high school-aged and younger is available for this game.
  • $65 for Iowa’s Big Ten Conference home opener against Indiana – which is also Iowa’s Homecoming game – and Iowa’s game against Northwestern, which is also Iowa’s annual “ANF Game Day” presented by Iowa Farm Bureau. A $25 youth ticket for use by boys and girls high school-aged and younger is available for these games.
  • $70 for Iowa’s annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game with Iowa State which is the game the UI will celebrate the 2004 Iowa team that claimed a share of the Big Ten Conference title and the Hawkeyes’ last-play-of-the-game victory over LSU in the 2005 Capital One Bowl; the Hawkeyes’ annual battle for the Heartland Trophy against Wisconsin; and Iowa’s annual Hy-Vee Heroes Game against Nebraska.

Tickets may be purchased online HERE or by phone at 1-800-IA-HAWKS. The UI Athletics Ticket Office, located in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online sales will begin Monday, July 7, at 8 a.m. CT.

Fans of the Hawkeyes who would like to bring a group of 20 or more to a home game of the 2014 Iowa Hawkeyes and need only game tickets should contact Eric Heinkel, the UI’s group ticket sales coordinator, at (319) 384-4299.
