Iowa Notes:

Iowa advances to its sixth Sweet 16 in program history, and first since 1996.

Iowa is 26-7 overall, and 18-0 at home (a program record).

The Hawkeyes own a 13-6 record this season against the 64-team NCAA Tournament field.

This marks Iowa’s 24th trip to the NCAA Tournament, including its eighth in a row. Iowa is 21-23 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. The Hawkeyes have advanced to the Sweet 16 six times, the Elite 8 three times, and also played in the 1993 Final Four.

Miami Notes:

Adrienne Motley scored in double figures for the 29th time in 33 games and posted 15-plus points for the 24th time.

Motley has now recorded 15-plus points in a half eight times this season.

Jessica Thomas surpassed 450 points in her two years as a Hurricane and her 37 minutes played are a career-high (previous 36, done multiple times, most recently vs. Notre Dame, 3/6/15).

This was the 127th game played for Suriya McGuire, moving her into a tied for third place on the program’s all-time list.

Necole Sterling scored double figures in consecutive games for the second time all season (previous 1/15/15 vs. Clemson and 1/18/15 at Duke).

Necole Sterling’s team-leading seven rebounds were a season high (previous six, done multiple times, most recently at Louisville, 1/25/15).

This was the final game as a Hurricane for seniors Suriya McGuire, Necole Sterling and Jassany Williams.
