BY THE NUMBERS
The University of Iowa Track and Field set five school records and crowned eight All-Americans during the 2015 outdoor season. A look at the numbers includes:

FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICANS
Sophomore Aaron Mallett broke Iowa’s 110-meter hurdles school record en route to a fifth-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Mallett crossed the line in 13.40 to break the school record for the second time this season and earn first-team All-America honors. The sophomore broke Pat McGhee’s 26-year-old school record when he clocked a 13.43 to win the 2015 Big Ten title (5/17/15). Mallett is the first Hawkeye to earn first team All-America accolades in the 110-meter hurdles since McGhee in 1989.

SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICANS
Junior Mitch Wolff earned second team All-America honors in the 400-meter hurdles after placing 16th (51.38) at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Wolff ran a personal-best 51.90 at the Big Ten Championships to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the first time in his career. The men’s 400-meter relay placed 12th in 39.67 to earn second team All-America honors. Vinnie Saucer, Jr., Aaron Mallett, James Harrington, and Keith Brown recorded the sixth-fastest time in school history in the NCAA semifinals.

HONORABLE MENTION ALL-AMERICAN
Senior Babatunde Amosu ended his Hawkeye career as an honorable mention All-American after placing 22nd in the triple jump (50-8 1/4; 15.45). The senior won the Big Ten indoor and outdoor championships this season, and was a second team indoor All-American. His personal best (53-10; 6.40m) ranks No. 2 in school history. Sophomores Brittany Brown and Elexis Guster wrapped their respective seasons with All-America honors at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Brown placed 17th in the 200 meters to earn All-America honors for the second straight season. Iowa’s school record holder placed 11th in 2014 to earn second team honors, and finished in 23.19 in the 2015 semifinals to earn honorable mention All-America accolades. Guster finished her sophomore season as an honorable mention All-American after placing 21st in the 400 meters (53.70). She advanced to the NCAA semifinals for the first time in her career and will return for her junior season as the two-time reigning Big Ten champion.

FIRST TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Three Hawkeyes earned first team All-Big Ten honors at the 2015 Big Ten Outdoor Championships. They include triple jump champion Babatunde Amosu, 400-meters champion Elexis Guster, and 110-meters champion Aaron Mallett. Guster will enter her junior year as the two-time reigning Big Ten champion.

SECOND TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Seven Hawkeyes were named to the All-Big Ten second team following runner-up finishes at the 2015 Big Ten Championships. They include Brittany Brown (400-meter relay), Keith Brown (400-meter relay), Gabe Hull (discus), James Harrington (400-meter relay), MonTayla Holder (400-meter relay), Lake Kwaza (400-meter relay), and Vinnie Saucer, Jr. (400-meter relay).

BIG TEN SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
The Big Ten Conference named seniors Jack Eckert and junior Kassidy Ellis recipients of Iowa’s 2015 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

B1G FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK — MARCH 25
Sophomore Aaron Mallett was named the Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week following his efforts at the Baldy Castillo Invite in Tempe, Arizona on March 21. The St. Louis native won the 110-meter hurdles and ran the anchor leg of Iowa’s 400-meter relay. The Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week award was the first of Mallet’s career.

SCHOOL RECORDS
The Hawkeyes set five school records this year. The Iowa women have four new record holders, including Lake Kwaza (100 meters, 11.40), Brittany Brown (200 meters, 22.89), Marta Bote Gonzalez (steeplechase, 10:23.15), and Annemie Smith (hammer, 201-1 1/2, 60.99m). Aaron Mallett ran 13.40 at the NCAA Championships to first-team All-America honors and set a new standard in the men’s 110-meter hurdles.
