IOWA CITY, Iowa — A collection of hotels in the greater Iowa City/Coralville area are working with the UI Athletics Department to make it easier than ever for fans of the Iowa football team to visit Johnson County, cheer on the Hawkeyes and save on their weekend hotel stay and their game tickets.
Ten Iowa City/Coralville area hotels are pairing discounted room rental rates with discount-priced game tickets offered by the UI Athletics Department through its group sales program. These “Stay and Play” packages offer a family of four the opportunity to save as much as $150 for a weekend visit to the home of the Hawkeyes.
“We have great partners in our local hotel operators and the CVB. Everyone is excited about the opportunity to not only increase the number of people at Kinnick on game day, but also to introduce fans of the Hawkeyes to all that there is to see and do in greater Johnson County.”
