Johnson County I-Club to Host Two Events in November

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Join the Johnson County I-Club and help support our Iowa Hawkeyes at its final two events of the football season.

Friday, November 13, 2015 – Pep Rally. Kick off a football weekend with Herky and the Spirit Squads, members of the Hawkeye Marching Band and more. Gary Dolphin, Voice of the Hawkeyes, will serve as emcee for the event and special guests include Dan Gable and members of the Iowa wrestling coaching staff. The Pep Rally is free and open to all fans and will be held at the Weatherdance Fountain Stage in the City of Iowa City’s pedestrian mall beginning at 5 p.m. The Sheraton’s Share Wine Lounge outdoor cafe will serve as the official beverage garden for this event.

Friday, November 20, 2015 – Football Luncheon. Join the Johnson County I-Club as it honors senior members of the Hawkeye football team at the final luncheon of the season. University of Iowa football head coach Kirk Ferentz will be the keynote speaker and Marv Cook, Iowa football All-American and six year NFL veteran, will serve as emcee. Herky, the Iowa Spirit Squads, and members of the Hawkeye Marching Band will be on hand to lead the crowd in their usual black and gold fashion.

The luncheon will be held at the Sheraton in downtown Iowa City. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with program to begin at 12:10 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $20 and can be purchased online at jointheiclub.com. While an RSVP is requested, it is not necessary and tickets will sell for $25 at the door.
