IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa Athletics Ticket Office is offering the opportunity for fans to purchase and donate both football and basketball tickets to active duty and veteran military members, law enforcement officials and firefighters, through the “Tickets for Heroes” program.
This opportunity will honor heroes by providing tickets at no cost when Iowa football hosts Nebraska on Friday, Nov. 25, in the annual Hy-Vee Heroes game. The tickets are on sale at a discounted price of $52 (normally $70 per ticket), and can be purchased to donate.
Tickets will also be provided at no cost when Iowa hosts a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader on Military Appreciation Day, set for Sunday, Nov.13. The Hawkeye women’s team hosts Hampton at noon, while the men host Savannah State at 2:30 p.m. Basketball tickets purchased to donate are priced at $12.
