Hawkeyes Fall at No. 32 Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Iowa men’s tennis team fell, 5-2, to No. 32 Minnesota (13-4, 2-1) Sunday afternoon at the Baseline Tennis Center.
 
Jake Jacoby, a junior on the Hawkeye squad, improved his win streak to six with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Josip Krstanovic. Classmate Josh Silversteinpicked up his first win in the three spot today over Stefan Milicevic, 6-3, 6-4. Silverstein is 9-5 in the spot overall.
 
Iowa dropped the doubles point to start the match, falling by the score of 6-2 in both the one and three positions.
 
The Hawkeyes (10-7, 1-2) return to action on Friday, hosting a doubleheader. Iowa will first challenge DePaul at 11 a.m. (CT) followed by Ohio State at 6 p.m. (CT). Both matches will be held at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex with admission free to the public.
