EVANSTON, Ill. – The University of Iowa men’s tennis team fell to No. 21 Northwestern, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the Combe Tennis Center.
 
Junior Josh Silverstein had wins at one doubles and two singles. He defeated No. 50 Konrad Zieba, 2-6, 6-1, 6-0. He paired with redshirt freshman Kareem Allaf to defeat the Wildcats’ No. 42 Konrad Zieba and Sam Shropshire, 7-5.
 
The Hawkeyes clinched the doubles point with the help of senior Nils Hallestrand and sophomore Jonas Larsen. The duo took down Chris Ephron and Michael Lorenzini, 6-2, on court three.
 
Senior Robin Haden saw a three-set win over Ben Vandixhorn, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, at No. 5.
 
The Hawkeyes (11-11, 1-6) are back in action next weekend as they begin a road trip through the Hoosier state. Iowa will face Purdue on Friday, and Indiana and Butler on Sunday. .
