IOWA CITY, Iowa – – The University of Iowa’s Fight for Iowa weekly television show featuring head football coach Kirk Ferentz, will air the season preview show on Sunday, Aug. 27. The show will air each week during the 2017 football season and is sponsored by Iowa’s Corn Farmers of the Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa Corn Promotion Board. The Fight for Iowa featuring Fran McCaffery show will air each week during the 2017-18 basketball season.
The 30-minute show will feature highlights from the previous football game, with comments from Ferentz and Gary Dolphin, the radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes on Hawkeye Sports Properties. Additional segments include feature stories on senior members of the Hawkeye football team, a Hawkeye freshman, a staff member profile, a Fight For Iowa feature following Iowa’s seven home games, a feature on game day activities in and around Kinnick Stadium, and updates each week on all of Iowa’s fall sports programs.
Hawkeye fans can view the weekly highlight shows on Mediacom Cable, KCWI-TV Des Moines, CFU-TV Cedar Falls, KCRG-TV Cedar Rapids, WHBF/KGCW Rock Island, and KYOU Ottumwa.
