Iowa City, Iowa – Dana Lerner and Manuela Lizarazu have signed National Letters of Intent to play golf at the University of Iowa, UI head coach Megan Menzel announced on Wednesday.
“Coach Roters and I are very excited about our 2018 recruiting class,” Menzel said. “Manuela and Dana are great student-athletes and they bring outstanding competitive spirits to our program. We feel like they are perfect Iowa student-athletes. They are resilient, tough, and fun to watch play golf.”

- Won the HJGT San Francisco Junior Shootout with an even-par 144 (Sept. 16-17)
- Three-time Israel Open champion

She has had the chance to play in the some high-level competitions and has represented her country well. She continues to shoot scores that are at-or-below par. “Manuela fell in love with the University of Iowa and Iowa City this summer while visiting and playing in the Midwest Junior at Finkbine. She played a ton of competitive golf this summer and spent a couple months traveling in the United States and competing against the best players in the country. Manuela is a treat to watch because she is a feisty competitor. She has a strong love for the game, and she will be an outstanding teammate here at Iowa.”
