Sullivan Named to B1G All-Championship Team

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Two GymHawks received individual conference awards at the Big Ten Championship on Saturday evening.  Sophomore Charlotte Sullivan was named to the all-championship team for the first time in her career, while sophomore Gina Leal collected the Sportsmanship Award.
Sullivan earned her spot on the all-championship team by placing third on vault with a career-high 9.875. The sophomore registered two other top-20 finishes for the Hawkeyes throughout the competition by finishing eighth in the all-around (39.275) and 16th on beam (9.800).
The Christchurch, New Zealand, native has competed in the all-around every meet this season. The sophomore has earned seven titles this season, with three all-around titles, two uneven bar titles, one beam title, and one floor title.
Leal earned the Sportsmanship Award. The sophomore has competed on floor four times throughout the season, earning her season best of 9.825 at Texas Woman’s University on March 2.
