IOWA CITY, Iowa — The National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) named four Iowa Gymnasts — Ashley Smith, Charlotte Sullivan, Nikki Youd and Misty-Jade Carlson — as Scholastic All-Americans.
An incoming sophomore, Smith earned her first academic accolade. While recent graduate Youd, junior Sullivan and senior Carlson all have earned previous academic honors.
To qualify, a gymnast must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 or higher.
The NACGC/W is an organization that strives to provide the best experience possible throughout the student-athletes career when they compete at the collegiate level in women’s gymnastics.
