IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder announced the 2018-19 nonconference schedule on Thursday. The Hawkeyes will play seven nonconference games and one exhibition in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, two away games, and two neutral site games. Tipoff times will be announced at a later date.
The Hawkeyes are matched up against three teams who made the 2018 NCAA Tournament, including Drake, Western Kentucky, and defending National Champions Notre Dame with a potential fourth match-up against Florida State at the Junkanoo Jam. Iowa fell to Florida State, 94-93, in the 2017 Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The Hawkeyes finished the 2017-18 season with a 24-8 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed. The Hawkeyes return nine letterwinners, including four starters in All-American and 2017 Big Ten Player of the Year Megan Gustafson, Kathleen Doyle, Makenzie Meyer, and Alexis Sevillian.
