UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. — The University of Iowa soccer team fell, 2-0, to No. 24 Penn State at Jeffrey Field on Sunday afternoon.
The lose moves the Hawkeyes to 5-6-2 overall and 1-4-1 in Big Ten Play.
Junior goalkeeper Claire Graves was challenged early, making three saves in the first 10 minutes of action to keep the game scoreless. The Hawkeyes earned a corner kick in the 25th minute that senior Morgan Kemerling headed wide of the net.
Redshirt junior Kaleigh Haus challenged Nittany Lions keeper Amanda Dennis in the 34th minute with a shot on goal that got stopped. Graves made a save in the 44th minute, sending the game to halftime scoreless.
Penn State took the lead in the 65th minute on a goal from Charlotte Williams. Kristin Schnurr extend the lead in the 74th minute to secure the win for the Nittany Lions.

The Hawkeyes travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, to face Nebraska on Oct. 5 at 7:05 (CT) at Barbara Hibner Soccer Stadium.
