Allaf, Larsen Compete in Day 3 of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Oklahoma – Two University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes saw action on Monday at the ITA All-American Championships held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Kareem Allaf competed in the singles qualifying bracket, dropping his Round of 128 match to Southern Alabama’s Clement Marzol in third set tie-break, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Allaf and doubles partner Jonas Larsen, ranked 35th nationally, lost to Northern Arizona’s Handel/Montano, 6-2, 6-2. Last season, the Lumberjacks duo went 14-0 and undefeated in Big Sky play.

Allaf will play in the consolation bracket in singles tomorrow.
