Iowa Splits Matches on Final Day of Bobby Bayliss Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Indiana — Four Hawkeyes – Jason Kerst, Morgan Lohan, Oliver Okonkwo, and Nikita Snezhko competed the final day of the Bobby Bayliss Invitational at Eck Tennis Pavillion on the campus of Notre Dame University. 

Snezhko finished with the weekend with his team-best third singles win over Michigan State’s Colin Harvey, 7-6(3), 6-3. Lohan defeated another Spartan, John Carlin, in straight sets. Kerst and Okonkwo fell to Nathan Griffin and Matt Gamble of Notre Dame, respectively, in singles.

Snezhko and Okonkwo picked up their first doubles wins as Hawkeyes, blanking Shisler and Rakic of Michigan State, 6-0. Lohan and Kerst fell to Faveri and Svetlicic of Western Michigan, 6-4.
