Iowa City, Iowa — The University of Iowa women’s gymnastics team released its 2019 schedule, UI head coach Larissa Libby announced Tuesday.
Season tickets for the GymHawk’s five home meets inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena are on sale now. Iowa hosts Rutgers, Southeast Missouri State, and three programs that were ranked in the top 25 in 2018, including Minnesota (22), Iowa State (24), and Illinois (19).
The GymHawks have seven away meets at Toledo, New Hampshire, Oregon State, and four teams that were ranked in the top 20 in 2018, including Auburn (14), Michigan (13), Ohio State (18), and Washington (11).
Iowa finished its 2018 season ranked 33rd in the nation. The Hawkeyes placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships led by three all-Big Ten honorees, including Nicole Chow. Chow returns for her senior year.
Charlotte Sullivan, a returning junior, was named to the All-Championship team at the Big Ten Championships. Sullivan placed third on vault with a career-high 9.875. Sullivan placed eighth in the all-around (39.275) and 16th on beam (9.800).
The GymHawks qualified for their 14th consecutive postseason appearance, placing sixth at regionals. Seven Hawkeyes tallied a total of 11 top-20 finishes.
The GymHawks return 12 letterwinners, while adding seven freshmen.
Iowa kicks off its season with the annual Black and Gold Intrasquad on Dec. 1st at the UI Field House. Admission is free.
Season tickets for Iowa’s five home meets are $40 all seating is general admission. Youth ages, 18 and under, and UI student receive free admission to all regular home meets.
