IOWA CITY, Iowa — Junior Jason Kerst and sophomore Morgan Lohan will compete at the USTA/ITF Men’s Pro Circuit Event at the Sanchez-Casal Academy in Naples, Florida.

Kerst and Lohan will be competing in the Sunshine State Tuesday through Thursday, in their first action of 2019. Fall competition treated Kerst well, recording seven wins in singles competition, including winning five of his last six matches and winning two doubles matches.

An injury sidelined Lohan a majority of the fall season. He won two singles matches and a doubles match with Kerst as his partner.

“These are two guys that we anticipate stepping into the lineup at any time this season,” assistant coach Joey Manilla said. “This tournament will give them some extra matches to build up their match toughness so they are ready when their names are called.”

Both Hawkeyes will begin competition tomorrow in singles at 11 a.m. (ET). Kerst will square off against Tommaso Carnevale-Miino and Lohan will face Marlon Omdahl.
