Gustafson Named to B1G Player of the Week Honor Roll

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s basketball senior Megan Gustafson has been named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Gustafson has been honored by the conference every week this season, including 12 Big Ten Player of the Week honors, and four Honor Roll mentions.
 
The Port Wing, Wisconsin, native scored a game-high 26 points against Indiana on Feb. 21. She shot 76.9 percent (10-for-13) from the field, and grabbed 12 rebounds to register her 80th career double-double (25th of the season). Gustafson scored 16 points and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field in the second half.
 
Gustafson and the No. 12/10 Hawkeyes return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday, March 3. Tipoff is at 3 p.m. (CT). Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for youth, and free for UI students. The Hawkeyes will honor their three seniors – Gustafson, Tania Davis, and Hannah Stewart – following the contest.
