IOWA CITY, Iowa – Registration is open for the University of Iowa swimming and diving program’s Hawkeye Swim Camps and Iowa Diving Camps. All camps will be held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
The Hawkeye Swim Camps will hold two camps from June 9-13 and June 16-20. They are open to competitive swimmers of all levels, ranging from ages 9-18. To register as a resident camper, you must be at least 10 years old by the initial day of your camp week.
The camps will focus on technique of each of the primary four strokes (free, fly, back, breast), including two daily water sessions dedicated to drill work. All in-pool work will be conducted in short course yards.
The Iowa Diving Camps will be held June 23-27 to divers ages 10-18. These camps are designed for divers who would like extra training and want to improve their sill. Training equipment includes: bubbles for 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform, water belts over 1-meter and 3-meter, and TIVO video playback.
