Howe Headed to USATF U20 Outdoor Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa freshman Amanda Howe was selected to compete in the United States of America Track and Field Under 20 Outdoor Championships on Saturday, June 22.
 
Howe is one 12 women in the hammer throw field and is seeded sixth with her personal best mark of 58.30 meters (191-3). Her personal best mark was thrown at the Big Ten Championships and ranks seventh all-time at Iowa.
 
The USATF U20 Outdoor Championships will take place at Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida. The Hammer throw competition will begin at 11 a.m. (CT). Tickets are on sale at USATF.org for $15 per day.
