IOWA CITY, Iowa — Five University of Iowa swimmers — seniors Hannah Burvill, Joe Myhre, Steve Fiolic, and Michael Tenney along with junior Kelsey Drake — will compete at the Phillips 66 National Championships in Palo Alto, California. The event will be held from July 31-Aug. 4.
Tenney and Burvill will open the Hawkeyes’ action with the 200-yard butterfly and 100 freestyle on Wednesday. Burvill will swim in the 200 free on Aug. 1.
Drake will compete in the 100 fly Aug. 2 and Burvill will swim in the 100 back on Aug. 3. Myhre and Fiolic will round out the week both competing in the 50 free on Aug. 3.
Burvill is a two-time NCAA qualifier and a school record holder in eight events, while Myhre was an honorable mention All-American in the 200-free relay in 2018. Drake holds the school record in the 100 and 200 fly.
