Hawkeyes Wrap Up Competition at Frank Beeman Invite

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The University of Iowa men’s tennis team finished competition at the Frank Beeman Invite Sunday at the MSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.

In the doubles championship, Joe Tyler and Will Davies fell short placing runners-up in the tournament. The duo dropped their match to Michigan’s Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar, 6-3. In consolation play, Matt Clegg and Nikita Snezhko edged DePaul’s Christopher Casati and Boris Spanjaard, 7-6(7). 

Clegg picked up his third consecutive singles victory, defeating Spanjaard in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Clegg was the only Hawkeye to claim a singles victory on Sunday.
