Sleep-Dalton Named to Ray’s 8 List

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa football senior punter Michael Sleep-Dalton has been named to the Ray’s 8 List for week eight games, announced by the Ray Guy Award earlier today.
 
Sleep-Dalton is one of eight student-athletes nominated for the award. The Punter of the Week will be announced Tuesday at 9 a.m. (CT) via a fan vote. To vote for Sleep-Dalton, click this link.
 
A native of Geelong, Australia, Sleep-Dalton averaged 47.3 yards on four attempts against Purdue on Saturday, including a season-long 63-yard punt in the fourth quarter. He has averaged 42.2 yards-per-punt this season, with nine punts downed inside the 20-yard line and eight of 50+ yards.
 
The marks the second week Sleep-Dalton has been named to the Ray’s 8 List this season. He is also on the Ray Guy Award Watch List.
 
No. 19 Iowa travels to Evanston, Illinois, to play Northwestern on Saturday at Ryan Field. Kickoff is at 11 a.m. (CT). The game is televised on ESPN2.
