Okonkwo/Tyler Advance to Semifinals at B1G Indoor Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. – The doubles team of Oliver Okonkwo and Joe Tyler won two matches on Friday to advance to the semifinals at the Big Ten Indoor Singles and Doubles Championships held at the Dillon Tennis Center.

In the Round of 16, the duo defeated Gates/Matsuno from Michigan in shutout fashion, 8-0. In the quarterfinals, the tandem eliminated Wisconsin’s Huber/Parts, 8-7(5). Okonkwo/Tyler will compete in the semifinals tomorrow morning. 

In singles action, Morgan Lohan, Okonkwo, and Tyler all dropped their respective matches.
