Goldstein Leads Iowa on Day 1 at Indiana Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Iowa women’s golf team currently sits in tenth at the Indiana Invitational at the Pfau Course. Play has been suspended in round two due to darkness and will resume in the morning, followed by the final round. All six Iowa golfers made it through at least eleven holes in the second round before the horn sounded.

Sophomore Morgan Goldstein is tied for twelfth as she is +2 overall after her 74 (+2) opening round. Goldstein is even-par through 11 holes in the second round with 23 pars, and a scoring average of 4.00 on Par 4s and 3.00 on Par 3s.

Sophomore Lea Zeitler currently sits +5 in a tie for 33rd. Zeitler opened with a 77 (+5) and is even through 14 holes in the second round. Zeitler’s second round has included two birdies, and she currently has 23 pars.

Sophomore Jacque Galloway has had a strong second round so far, sitting in a tie for 40th and shoot one over par through 12 holes. Galloway shot a 78 (+6) in the first round and responded with only two bogeys through 12 holes, +1 on the round.

Junior Manuela Lizarazu shot a 78 (+6) in the first round and is +8 through 13 in the second round. Lizarazu currently sits in a tie for 77th.

Sophomore Lilly Gentzkow and junior Dana Lerner are tied for 91st and tied for 93rd, respectively. Gentzkow is +18 after her 82 (+10) in the first round and +8 through 15 in the second. Lerner sits at +19 with an opening round score of 85 (+13) and +3 through 13 in the second round.

The Hawkeyes will tee off at 7:15 a.m. (CT) to finish the second round, followed by the third round.
