IOWA CITY, Iowa — P. Sue Beckwith, MD, Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lisa Bluder announced on Wednesday that transfer Kylie Feuerbach has signed with the University of Iowa.
Feuerbach, a Sycamore, Illinois, native transfers from Iowa State where she played one season as a Cyclone.
“We are thrilled to have Kylie join our Hawkeye family,” Coach Bluder said. “She will add depth at the guard position and give us a defensive boost.”
As a freshman, Feuerbach started 24 of the Cyclones’ 28 games during the 2020-21 season, including the Cyclones’ NCAA First and Second Round tournament games against Michigan State and Texas A&M. The freshman guard averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 36 percent from the field on the season.
During her high school campaign, Feuerbach was a four-year starter for the Sycamore Spartans. Feuerbach is a four-time first team All-Conference performer and was rated No. 77 overall on the ESPN HoopGurlz Top 100. Feuerbach is all-time leading scorer, rebounder, and blocker at Sycamore High School.
Feuerbach was also a member of the All-Iowa Attack squad along with Caitlin Clark and Megan Meyer that claimed a national title in 2018 at the Nike EYBL tournament. Feuerbach netted the game-winning 3-pointer in the championship game in front of NBA great Kevin Durant. The 2019 squad also finished as the national runner-up.
