Hawkeyes Earn Big Ten Tournament Bid

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa soccer team has earned a bid to the Big Ten Tournament, the conference announced on Sunday. Fifth-seeded Iowa will travel to four-seed Michigan State on Sunday, Oct. 31, for a quarterfinal match at DeMartin Soccer Complex.

The Hawkeyes, who are the defending Big Ten Tournament champions, finished in a tie for fourth place in the in the conference standings, marking the program’s best regular season finish since 1999, when they placed third. The Spartans earned the higher seed with a 2-1 head-to-head victory in Iowa City on Oct. 3.

Sunday’s game is set for 1 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed live on BTN Plus.

Following the Oct. 31 quarterfinals, the Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament will continue with the semifinals at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. (CT) Nov. 4 and the championship match at 1 p.m. (CT) Nov. 7.

The semifinals and championship match will be hosted by the team with the highest remaining seed following the quarterfinal round, with both semifinals and the title contest televised by BTN and streaming on the FOX Sports app.
