IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa director of volleyball operations Emily Sparks has received an Exceptional Performance Award in recognition for her valuable contributions to the University of Iowa Department of Athletics.
“We are extremely happy to announce Emily is being recognized by the department for the ‘Exceptional Performance Award’ certificate,” said head coach Jim Barnes. “Emily did an amazing job in directing our volleyball program through a challenging transition. Her professionalism and passion for our players and staff is tremendous and we are glad she is being recognized.”
Sparks joined the Hawkeye volleyball program in 2016 and has worked for the athletic department since 2014.
