IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa soccer team will host 10 games at the Iowa Soccer Complex during the 2022 season, it was announced Tuesday by head coach Dave DiIanni. The complete schedule includes 18 regular season games and one exhibition contest.
The first fall contest includes an exhibition game against Drake in Iowa City, Iowa, on Aug. 12. The official season opener is Aug. 18 against UCLA in Westwood, California. That Pac 12 contest is the first of eight nonconference games Iowa plays before opening the Big Ten season hosting Wisconsin on Sept. 18.
The Hawkeyes play a 10-game conference schedule, including five games at home and five on the road. Iowa’s regular season finale is against Penn State at home on Oct. 23.
The postseason begins Oct. 30. The Big Ten championship game is Nov. 6, and the NCAA first round begins Nov. 11-13. Those postseason locations are TBD. The NCAA College Cup is Dec. 2-4 in Cary, North Carolina.
Iowa opens a four-game spring schedule on Saturday, April 2, hosting UW-Milwaukee at the Iowa Soccer Complete at 1 p.m. A complete Iowa soccer schedule is available at hawkeyesports.com.
