Gilbertson, Martin, O'Brien to Travel to Purdue

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving will send three swimmers to Purdue’s “Boiler-Make-It” event in attempts to improve their season-best times at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Saturday’s events consist of preliminaries at 10 a.m. (CT) and finals at 4 p.m. Live results will be available via the Meet Mobile app, and updated season-best times will be reported through the Iowa Swim and Dive Twitter account.

Senior Kennedy Gilbertson will look to better her season-best 53.66 in the 100 back – a NCAA B-cut and fifth fastest time in program history. Freshman Scarlet Martin also aims to improve her current B-cut and program’s fourth fastest 100-fly time (53.45).

Sophomore Alix O’Brien will join Iowa as well in attempt to better her season-fastest 4:54.14 in the 500 free.

The Hawkeyes will send its qualifying divers to the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Mar. 6-9 in Minneapolis.
