COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in 11th place at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at the OSU Scarlet Course. The Hawkeyes fired a final round 304 to finish the tournament with a 54-hole total of 896 (300-292-304).
Freshman Shannyn Vogler fired a three-over par 75 on Sunday to finish the weekend with a 221 (74-72-75), tying for 27th place. It is the second straight meet and third time this season that Vogler has paced the team.
Vogler had her second eagle of the weekend, carding a three on the par 5 12th.
Host Ohio State won the tournament by nine strokes over Michigan State, finishing with an 854. Maryland’s Patricie Mackova and Michigan’s Monet Chun shared the medalist honor with eight-under 208s.
