2009 Spring — Named first team all-Big Ten… competed at #1 singles and #1 doubles positions in every Hawkeye match… finished 11-9 overall and 5-5 in Big Ten play… ranked as high as 119th nationally in singles… finished 10-11 in doubles competition… teamed up with Nikita Zotov (9-8) and Reinoud Haal (1-3)… Bierich and Zotov defeated three nationally-ranked opponents and were ranked as high as 31st nationally… Bierich and Haal were ranked as high as 78th nationally… letterwinner.
2008 Fall — Compiled a team-best record of 14-1 in singles competition…won six-straight matches, losing only one set, to claim Big Ten Singles Championship… first Hawkeye to win event since 2000 (Tyler Cleveland)… advanced to round of 32 at ITA Midwest Regionals… won singles Flight A at Northwestern Invite.. claimed five-straight matches to win the flight, winning every set…went on eight-match and six-match winning-streaks… posted a doubles record of 3-2 with fellow senior Greg Holm.
2008 Spring — Competed at #2 and #3 singles positions… compiled records of 14-7 in dual play and 6-5 against Big Ten competition… competed at #3 doubles… finished season 9-10 in dual play and 3-5 in Big Ten… letterwinner.
2007 Fall — Competed in three tournaments… went 1-5 in singles competition… picked up 30th career victory in season-opening match at Purdue Invitational… posted a 1-2 doubles record with Gentry Kaegi at Purdue Invitational… went 0-1 doubles record with Tommy McGeorge at ITA Regional.
