2010-11 — Swam collegiate best time in 100 fly (50.10) at the Big Ten Championships… swam seven top-10 finishes… named to the Academic All-Big Ten team… letterwinner.

2009-10 — Swam collegiate best times in 50 free (21.25), 100 free (46.27) and 100 fly (50.48) at Big Ten Championships… letterwinner.

High School — Won state titles in 50 free and 100 fly, and swam on third-place finishing 200 free and 400 free relays at state meet senior year… three-time All-American, earning consideration for All-America honors in two events… four-time all-state honoree and 11-time conference champion… two-time district swimmer of the year…
earned team leader and most versatile swimmer awards senior year… set school records in 100 fly (50.67) and 100 free (46.81), and as part of 200 free relay (1:26.20)… four-year academic all-conference honoree, earning academic all-state honors as a senior… coached by Shari Walling.

Personal — Born May 21, 1991… son of Bob and Dayna Taylor… his grandfather, Dick Taylor, played football, basketball and baseball at Iowa… his cousin, Grant Mahoney, is a place kicker on the Iowa State football team… open major.
